LaunchSupervisor Security Related Security for Windows

The software detects and prevents programs from launching unwanted applications.
LaunchSupervisor detects and prevents the attempts of hijacking your favorite web browser, media player, instant messenger or email client and prevents forcing them into launching unwanted, malware programs that will lead to damage done to your computer.

Every time LaunchSupervisor blocks a program, it displays a corresponding notification near the clock. Unselect “Show notifications”, if you do not want to receive LaunchSupervisor notifications.

LaunchSupervisor controls only those programs that use Internet and therefore can be hijacked (browsers, email clients, media players etc.). There is no need to control programs that work only locally on your computer (notepad, calculator etc.).

LaunchSupervisor has a built-in list of popular Internet programs as well as it dynamically detects and puts programs into its Internet programs list when they request access to Internet. You can also manually add your Internet programs into Internet Programs List for LaunchSupervisor to monitor them in the future.

WinFingerprint is an administrative network resource scanner that allows you to scan machines on your LAN and returns various details about each host.

No Aura Security Related Security for Windows

Temporarily block the Aureate system with No-Aura
Hundreds of sharewares (NetVampire, CuteFTP, Go!Zilla, GetRight, Copernic 99…) are sponsored by banner ads. To achieve this, they use a system provided by the Aureate firm.

If Aureate intentions do not look evil, we cannot accept that the Aureate system connects to Aureate servers without the consent of the user, even if you uninstall Aureate-related programs and whenever you use your browser (be it Internet Explorer or Netscape). The nature of data sent to these servers is not clear.

This way of operating is in no way acceptable and introduces a flaw in computer security.
To block the Aureate system, you have 2 options:
· Eliminate the Aureate system by running SpyBot S&D, OptOut, orAdAware. Aureate-enabled software won’t probably operate after this. These programs are freeware.
· Temporarily block the Aureate system with No-Aura

Note : Aureate has changed its name to Radiate. You can read their privacy policy at this address.

No-Aura deals only with the Aureate system. Unfortunately Aureate is not the only spy system. These kind of programs becomes widespread.

I highly recommend SpyBot Search & Destroy: this program is free and updated often to keep up with spywares.

Why provide a checksum? Checksums are very useful in checking the integrity of a file. A small change in the program can generate a whole new checksum. With SMD5, you can compare two checksums to see if the file has been changed.

SMD5 also uses a very simple windows interface (unlike most checksum generators that use a command line interface).
