KeyPass Password Managers Generators Security for Windows

A password manager that lets you store all your passwords in a single database
KeyPass makes it convenient for you to store all your secret information such as passwords, credit card numbers, PIN numbers etc. in a single encrypted database.

The bookmarks and passwords are encrypted using 448-bit blowfish algorithm, and a single “master password” is required to unlock the information in the database.

KeyPass is available in three versions:

– Standard Edition. In this version, all features of KeyPass is available to you except for the ability to set the “read-only” password. This feature is only available in the enterprise edition.

– Enterprise Edition. In this version, all features of KeyPass is available to you, including the ability to set the “read-only” password. This allows you to distribute KeyPass to users so that they can use the information stored in KeyPass, but will not be able to modify them. Only you, the administrator, has the authority to change the information witin KeyPass.

– USB Edition. This is essentially KeyPass Standard or Enterprise edition bundled with a USB flash drive of your choice.
The software is preinstalled on the USB flash drive so that you can use it immediately. The USB flash drive comes in various capacities (32/64/128/256MB), so you can choose the one that best fits your needs.
Here are some key features of “KeyPass”:

· Database is encrypted using 448-bit blowfish algorithm.
· Types your password for you into any application.
· Supports free-text search on database.
· Supports auto-locking for increased security.
· Internet Explorer favorites or Netscape bookmarks can be directly imported into database.
· Database can be directly exported to Netscape bookmark file.
· Administrator can defined “read-only” password for database access.
· Read-only database can be automatically updated from a network drive

Limitations:

· The free version of KeyPass is limited to a maximum of 10 entries (excluding folders).

· Fixed issue with KEYHOOK.DLL that is causing problems for some users on Windows Vista where the right mouse click without the modifier keys will cause the popup menu to appear.
· Previously, the KeyPass main window will occasionally redraw incorrectly, causing “bleeding” from the window below. This has been fixed.
