localTrezor operates a trezor that may be used by several individuals on a server, and by means of which e.g. a company may manage their important and confidential digital data.

localTrezor uses client-server technology. The users use the Windows-based client application, by which local operations may also be carried out (diverse arrangements, searches, etc.), and through which the users can get connected to the localTrezor server.

The localTrezor server accommodates the trezor (vault), serves the client programs, and checks the rights of the users. The client and the server are both Windows-based applications.

localTrezor is a multi-user system; you may define rights of access to the data (files and directories) of the trezor, thus a particular data may be writable by, or perhaps read-only or inaccessible for the user.

“Normal” users may only deposit their files in the trezor, or take them from there, whereas users with administrator rights may enlarge the trezor as well (e.g. by adding further drives or computers to it), modify the registry of users, and view the statistics on server operation.

The size of the trezor (vault) is determined by the space available on the discs, otherwise it is capable of storing any number of files of any size.
