OnuxPC Security Security Related Security for Windows

Security tools designed for users to manage their user data and communications
Onux is a multi-level/multi-functional file security system that encodes single files, multiple files, and builds secure archives and shreds large amounts of data. This file security system uses the Blowfish algorithm, which is very secure.

Onux is a turbo charged, open ended collection of security tools designed with the intent for users to manage their user data and communications in privacy. Onux is the result of more than 4 years of research and development in the security software industry.

Onux now offers two interfaces to accomodate users of all skill levels. The Simple Mode Interface has been designed for anyone that does not wish to learn a new software package. The Advanced Mode Interface is still a significant part of Onux and has a healthy list of upgrades since the first release. Either interface can be accessed at anytime while using Onux.

Here are some key features of “OnuxPC Security”:

· Password protected interface access that is fully user controlled.
· Virtual Keyboard option built-in to Password Interface to defeat keylogging viruses.
· Access password is case sensitive and can be as long as 1024 characters.
· Secure File Shredding by the thousands
· Open, Save or Clear Queue Lists.
· User controlled password changer.
· Explore Drives or Folders from within Onux.
· Open any file associated with another program from within Onux.
· Built-in System Info Utility for gathering critical information about your computer.
· Built-in Anonymous Email Utility (Not completely untracable for obvious reasons)
· Built-in and Highly Secure Password Manager for storing passwords for anything.
· Built-in Safe Chat interface for private communications across the internet or TCP/IP network.
· Retrive Local IP
· Simple Mode Interface and Advanced Mode Interface for all types of users.
· Type 3 Encryption Wizard
· Type 3 Encrypted File Database for quick and painless information about your encrypted files and one click decryption.
· New Internet clean-up tool in Simple Mode Interface.
· Virtual Keyboard added for changing your access password.

Limitations:

· 30 days trial
· When using Type 1 or Type 2 encryption, files must not be much larger than 5 megabytes. If you attempt to encode files larger than 5 megabytes, Onux will crash.
· When using any file manipulation aspect of Onux, be sure the files you are working with are not write protected. This means your files must not be “Read-Only”. If a file is “Read-Only” you must be sure to have the “Kill Read Only” box checked. This will strip the file attributes of all the files loaded into the list so that you may manipulate the file. Failure to do so will result in the file remaining in tact.
· The Zip utility has been removed from this version of Onux due to technical issues. We are currently working out these problems and the Zip utility shall reappear in the next version of Onux.
· Obtaining your local IP address cannot be achieved without an internet connection.
