PasswordGuard Password Managers Generators Security for Windows

Easy to use password manager that can store all the user names and passwords you have to remember.
PasswordGuard is a relatively small, but powerful piece of software that stores all the user names and passwords you have to remember.

PasswordGuard stores the passwords in an encrypted file. The location of this file is configurable and can easily be changed by the user. This file is never readable – it’s encrypted, using Microsoft CryptoAPI.

PasswordGuard starts up by asking the user to specify a password, which will be used for encryption of the file above. This password can at any time be changed by the user. At all concurrent sessions the user has to specify this password again, for the application to open up.

When PasswordGuard is launched the user can add, change, remove and copy any password to/from/in the application. PasswordGuard can be configured to hide or display the currently selected user name and password. Which password that is currently visible is selected by clicking with the mouse or by using the up and down arrow keys.

PasswordGuard can print all stored information. Data can be kept in different data files with different encryption passwords. Recently used data files are easily reachable from the menu.

User names and passwords can be sent directly to any application that needs it. User names and passwords can also be copied to the clipboard, by the click of a button.

Beside the user name (or other explanatory text) and password , a short description and an optional, more descriptive, text is stored together with the user name and password.

Any entered information to PasswordGuard can be searched for and, where found, be made visible. All entered password can be configured for expiry checks. I.e. the user can be warned, a configurable number of days, before a certain password expires.
